Dr. Raju B. Mankar

Director, Laxminarayan Institute of Technology, Nagpur
Ex-Vice-Chancellor, Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Technological University, Lonere – Raigad

Born on 21st December 1962, Professor Raju B. Mankar did his
M. Tech in Chemical Engineering from Laxminarayan
Institute of Technology, Nagpur in 1987 and Ph.D. from the Indian Institute of
Technology, Kanpur in 1999.

He is the recipient of prestigious DAAD Fellowship and
worked as Post Doctoral Fellow in 2000-2001 at University of Karlsruhe (Federal
Republic of Germany). He also worked as Visiting Scientist at University of
Karlsruhe in the years 2002, 2003 and 2004. He is also the recipient of Sardar Iqbal Bahadur Singh Gold Medal
awarded by Nagpur University in 1989 and Ideal Principal Award in 2009
conferred by RashtrasantTukadojiMaharaj Nagpur
University, Nagpur.

He started his career in teaching as Lecturer in 1989 and
rose to a position of Professor in 2002. He was appointed as the Director of Laxminarayan Institute of Technology, Nagpur in October
2005. He was on lien from this position from 3rd March 2010 to 2nd March 2015.
During this period he was the Vice-Chancellor of Dr. BabasahebAmbedkar
Technological University, Lonere-Raigad
(Maharashtra). Professor Mankar joined back to his position as Director of Laxminarayan Institute of Technology, Nagpur on 3rd March
2015.

Professor Mankar had been the Nominee of His Excellency, the
Vice President of India on the Court of Pondicherry University during 2007 to
2010. He is also the Nominee of His Excellency the Governor of Maharashtra on
the Board of Management of YashwantraoChavan
Maharashtra Open University, Nashik.

He is the Member of Western Regional Committee, Mumbai of
All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi and also the
Member of Pravesh Niyantran
Samiti, Government of Maharashtra. He has been
nominated as Council Member by the President Institution of Engineers (India),
in December 2011 as “Eminent Engineering Personality”. He was also the Member,
Chemical Engineering Division Board, Institution of Engineers (India).

Professor Mankar has also been nominated as Vice-Chairman,
Governing Council,

Engineering Staff College of India,
Hyderabad by the President Institution of Engineers (India) for a period of
three years.

Besides being a Life Member of Indian Institute of Chemical
Engineers (IIChE), Professor Mankar is a Fellow of
the Institution of Engineers (India) and Life Member of Indian Society for
Technical Education (ISTE).

He is also Fellow of DAAD, Federal Republic of Germany.
